The Jenks' Partnership works in
association with a number of specialists, all independent consultancies and
small businesses, to maximize the breadth of our competence, technically and
geographically.
THE PARTNERS
Peter J Jenks
Managing Partner of the Jenks'
Partnership, has more than 15 years building business in Europe for specialist
US laboratory supply companies, including CIL, Burdick & Jackson, USPC,
Selerity Technologies Inc, Ultrasonic Scientific Ltd and Resource Technology
Corporation. In Europe he has worked with Merck, Promochem Group and LGC
(Teddington) Ltd, building their sales within Europe and in South Asia.
Peter is a regular contributor to
Spectroscopy Europe, writing about the proper use of reference materials
and analytical quality and is the Editor of the specialist newsletter RM
report. He has published regularly on reference materials and quality
measurement and co-edited the definitive work Reference Materials for
Chemical Analysis, published by Wiley in 2000. In addition, he is involved
with a number of international activities aimed at improving chemical
metrology.
Peter obtained his B.Sc. in Biochemistry
in 1974 from Brunel University, London and continued with postgraduate studies
in Clinical Biochemistry at Birmingham University before joining Merck. He was
elected to the Membership of the Royal Society of Chemistry in 2002. He has
lived and worked in the UK, USA and Germany.
Robert D Rucinski
Robert Rucinski pioneered the commercial
production of natural matrix, real world environmental reference materials.
Resource Technology Corporation (RTC), based in Laramie, Wyoming was
established in 1988 to commercialize the production of certified reference
materials required by the US EPA. RTC is now the largest producer of naturally
accrued matrix CRMs for environmental analysis and a leading supplier of
proficiency testing services for water, waste water and waste solid
analysis.
Before establishing RTC Bob was in charge
of the Environmental Division of the Western Research Institute, an affiliate
of the University of Wyoming Research Corporation.
Dr Markus Stoeppler
Markus has a long and respected career in
analytical and environmental chemistry, including working with fission products
and natural radioactivity. He was established at the Research Center Juelich
from 1966 until retirement June 1992, from 1979 he was responsible for planning
and most practical and analytical work performed at the institute for the
German Environmental Specimen Bank. Since retirement he worked as a consultant
for the Research Center been activities in several scientific and reference
material related fields.
Markus, together with Wayne Wolf was a
founder of the BERM series of scientific symposia on Biological and
Environmental Reference Materials. He was co-chairman of BERM-2 to BERM-7 and
other conferences and has published widely with more than 300 papers in
international journals. He has edited a number of books on reference materials
and analytical chemistry.
